"I'm not doing much tonight- why don't you drop by later?" that you are not wanting to sit around and watch TV? or is this something that you have to spell out?

Some guys are obtuse, and need things spelled out for them in black & white. I used to be that way, and to a certain extent, still am. Keep in mind that guy's minds work differently than women's minds. My wife will say, "ok, I'm going to bed, don't stay up too late," when she means, "I'm horny, come to bed now and #$%@ me." I, of course, interpret what she said to mean, "she's going to bed, and doesn't want me to stay up too late."
Hmmm, this sounds like a good post topic for my own blog.
I've done oblivious stuff like that. Like playing videogames while your "friend" asks if it's okay she takes a shower at your place ... and leaves the door open a crack.
